Myrtha Pools signed a new important project in Moscow, at the Radisson Royal Hotel, better known as Ukraina Hotel.
This is the second project signed by Myrtha Pools in Moscow, some years before our company designed also a rooftop swimming pool for the Hyatt Hotel.
The Ukraine Hotel closed for renovation and reopened on 28 April 2010 under the name of Radisson Royal Hotel.
Myrtha Pools built the swimming pool of the Royal Wellness club, the fitness area of the Radisson Royal Hotel. The Wellness club includes gyms, whirlpool, saunas, beauty salon, spa and a six-lane pool – 50×11.5 m wide and 1.2 and 1.8 meters deep – built with the exclusive Myrtha technology, completely covered in ceramic tiles and with an infinity edge in wood.
The Ukraina Hotel.
The Ukraina hotel, 206 meters high with 34 floors and 3 basement floors, was built in Moscow between 1949 and 1955 on a project by the architecture studio of ex Sovietic Union Internal Ministry, by a famous group of architects and involved more than two thousand people.
The hotel is located along the bank of the river that crosses Moscow and from the upper floors of the building you can enjoy a stunning view of the city center.
The refurbishment began in 2005 and brought new technologies into the hotel and the renovation of the historic halls, making the Hotel Ukraina a fashionable hotel, according to world standards and increasing its eco-sustainability. Finally, in 2009, the operating contract was signed with the Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the most dynamic companies in the hospitality industry: so come to life the Radisson Royal Hotel, a new modern hotel inside the Ukraina hotel building.
